„ROCKABILLY PICTURE SHOW”

-a special cinematic &  musical event at CINEMA VICTORIA-

CINEMA VICTORIA  şi  TORSO BOOKING  vă invită VINERI, 10 Februarie 2012, începând cu orele 21.00, in incinta Cinematografului VICTORIA, la un nou concept de eveniment ce va combina o proiectie cinematografica de exceptie cu un live-act, urmat de un afterparty. Prima editie din aceasta serie ne va transpune in febra anilor ‘50- ‘60, in apogeul miscarii Rockabilly/surf/garage – oldschool rock’n'roll.

Ideea pe care  se bazează acest nou concept uneste Cinematograful Victoria, asa cum il  stiati, cu  un live-act si se sprijină pe dorinţa noastra de diversitate în peisajul încă sărăcăcios al evenimentelor alternative clujene. Dorim să oferim publicului posibilitatea de a gusta o altfel de imbinare a celor mai influente arte: filmul si muzica. Oferim acest eveniment publicului larg, pe care il incurajam sa adopte stilul vestimentar rock’n'roll, cu mentiunea ca locurile vor fi limitate!

Proiectia va fi  una de referinta pentru curentul anilor ‘50: REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (in regia lui Nicholas Ray, 1955) , avandu-l ca protagonist pe unul dintre simbolurile tanarului noncoformist – actorul James Dean, in penultimul sau rol. Publicul va  avea parte, dupa proiectie, de un concert live in holul cinematografului:

“Catrhythm este prima trupă de rockabilly din România. Alcătuit sub formă de cvartet grupul scoate în evidenţă vocea veritabilă a carismaticei vocaliste. Chitara, contrabasul şi bateria desavarşesc un tablou muzical autentic al anilor ’50.

Catrhythm vă propune un cocktail de rockabilly cu o aromă fină de Jump Blues. Astfel îi veţi putea auzi pe Janis Martin, Wanda Jackson, Johnny Burnette, Don Woody, Tommy Steel, Etta James, Ruth Brown şi mulţi alţii.

În primele saptămâni de la alcătuire au apărut la televiziunea locală precum şi în show-ul lui AG Weinberger’s, Acadeaua.

Primul lor demo reuneşte 16 piese de un rockabilly autentic iar un al doilea album este deja pe drum. În scurt timp de la formare au cantat pe scene din Cluj, Bucharest, Brasov, Deva.

Aşadar fiţi pe fază şi nu rataţi concertele live pe care trupa le va susţine în oraşul tău !”
